Requirements for S Pass Application:

  1. Job Offer: Obtain a job offer from a Singapore-based employer.

  2. Job Role: Hold a managerial, executive, or specialized role.

  3. Salary: Earn a fixed monthly salary of at least S$5,000 (as of 2022). For individuals in financial services, the minimum is S$5,500 (as of 2022).

  4. Educational Qualification: Possess a relevant educational qualification, such as a degree, professional qualifications, or specialized skills.

  5. Work Experience: Have relevant work experience.

 
 

THE EP APPLICATION PROCESS: A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:

Your employer fills out the online EP application form from MyMOMPortal and attaches all documents required for the EP.

Your employer pays the processing fee of S$105.

It usually takes three to eight weeks for MOM to process the EP application. Once your application has been approved, your employer will receive an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter.

An IPA letter in Singapore:

The In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter acts as a single-entry visa, allowing entry into Singapore. It also provides information about the requirement for a medical check-up in Singapore, if applicable. Additionally, it includes a list of documents needed when your employer applies for the issuance of the Employment Pass (EP). Step 3: Pay the EP issuance fee of S$225 / S$255.

Step 4: Once MOM has issued the pass, your employer will receive a notification letter that:

  • Allows you entry to and exit from Singapore while waiting to receive your Employment Pass.
  • States if you need to register your fingerprints and photo.

Training Employment Pass ($8888)

Training Employment Pass

Eligible foreign students or foreign trainees who want to undergo training in Singapore.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR training PASS APPLICATION:

  • If you are a foreign student:

    • The training attachment in Singapore must be a component of your course of study.
    • You must be enrolled at an acceptable institution or receive a fixed monthly salary of at least $3,000.

    If you are a trainee from a foreign office or subsidiary:

    • You should have a fixed monthly salary of at least $3,000.

Please upload the personal particulars page of the candidate’s passport. If the name on the passport differs from that on their other documents, please include an explanation letter and provide supporting documents, such as a deed poll.

Employers are responsible for ensuring that their candidates’ qualifications are genuine and were awarded by accredited institutions.

For non-English documents, you must upload the original document together with an English translation as 1 file. The translation can be done by a translation service provider.

To apply, you need to submit the following documents:

  • Personal particulars page of the candidate’s passport.
  • If the candidate’s name on the passport differs from that on their other documents, please also upload an explanation letter and supporting documents (e.g., deed poll).
  • Detailed training program stating the objective, type of training, location, and duration of training.

Note: For non-English documents, you must upload the original document together with an English translation as one file. The translation can be done by a translation service provider.

Training EP Application Process

To submit an application for the Training Employment Pass, follow these steps:

  1. Obtain written consent to apply for the Training Employment Pass from the candidate.
  2. Watch our video to assist you in entering the candidate’s educational details correctly in the application.
  3. Log in to EP eService to fill out the application form and upload the required documents.
  4. Pay the $105 fee for each application. Payment options include GIRO, Visa, Mastercard, or Amex.

The processing time is typically within 3 weeks, although some cases may take longer.

Note:

If a candidate is in Singapore with a visit pass that will expire before the Training Employment Pass is issued, we won’t be able to extend the visit pass. You should only bring in candidates when the pass is approved. They don’t need to be in Singapore when you apply, and we won’t be able to extend their visit pass.

If additional information or documents are needed for your application:

1. You will receive an email requesting additional documents within 3 weeks.
2. To submit the required documents, navigate to ‘Work Passes’ on the left menu, select the application record, and choose ‘Submit documents.’ Alternatively, click on ‘View details’ to identify the specific actions required.
3. If our email instructs you to submit documents using our online form, follow the provided instructions to complete the submission.

Personalised Employment Pass ($8888)

Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) Application

The Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) is a non-renewable pass tailored for a specific group of high-earning foreign professionals or EP holders. It provides exclusive benefits, such as a significantly higher income, and is subject to stringent review standards. If you’re looking for a work pass that offers job flexibility without being bound to a single employer, the PEP is an ideal solution.

Additionally, the PEP allows for job changes in Singapore without the requirement to reapply for an entry visa, as long as there hasn’t been a period of unemployment exceeding six months.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR personalised employment PASS APPLICATION:

If you’re an overseas foreign professional, you qualify for the Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) if your last drawn fixed monthly salary overseas was at least S$18,000 (within the last six months before applying). For existing Employment Pass (EP) holders, a fixed monthly salary of at least S$12,000 is required.

Additional eligibility criteria include:

  1. Not being a freelancer intending to work without a Singapore employer.
  2. Not having your EP issued by a Sponsored scheme (if you are an EP holder).
  3. Not being the sole shareholding partner, proprietor, or director in any Singapore-registered company.
  4. Your profession should not be a journalist, editor, sub-editor, or producer.

To maintain the pass, you must:

  1. Avoid being unemployed in Singapore for more than six months at any time. Otherwise, you’ll need to cancel the pass.
  2. Earn a fixed salary of at least S$144,000 per calendar year, regardless of the number of months you are employed.

THE personalised employment PASS APPLICATION PROCESS: A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:
